I would like to formally express my intent to run for Sergeant at Arms on the FBI-LEEDA Executive Board at the upcoming 2026 Annual Conference.
I am currently serving as the Chief of Police for the Eagle Police Department in Eagle, Colorado, and remain an active member of FBI-LEEDA. I completed the LEEDA Trilogy in 2021 and earned the Agency Trilogy Award in 2025. This reflects how much I believe in what this organization stands for: growing great leaders, sharing ideas, and learning from each other to make our profession stronger.
It would be an honor to contribute to FBI-LEEDA at the executive level and to support its mission of advancing leadership excellence across agencies nationwide. I bring nearly two decades of law enforcement experience with a focus on progressive policing, officer wellness, and leadership development, values that align deeply with FBI-LEEDA’s principles. I am eager to collaborate with fellow board members and the LEEDA membership to further the organization’s reach and continue fostering a culture of integrity, learning, and leadership within our profession.
I appreciate your consideration of my nomination and affirm my willingness and commitment to serve in this role.
Respectfully,
Carrie Buhlman- Chief of Police
